It’s PGA Championship week! The second major of the PGA TOUR schedule tees off on Thursday from the famed Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York. The field couldn’t be stronger, as the golfers from the Saudi backed LIV Golf league will be pegging it up alongside the stars of the PGA TOUR. The winner receives $2.7M (from the $15M purse), the Wanamaker Trophy, and etches their name in golf history as a major champion. 

Justin Thomas is your defending champion, having won his 2nd PGA Championship last year in epic comeback fashion. He began the final round 7 strokes off the lead, caught magic with a three under 67, and got some help as the leader, Mito Pereira’s tee shot on 18 landed in the water, and capped it off by beating fellow American Will Zalatoris in a 3-hole aggregate playoff.

Will this years edition of the PGA be as dramatic? Will a player from rebel LIV tour come in and steal this major? Only time will tell, but expect fireworks from Oak Hill.
